Pregnant and High Risk

We are pregnant!!! I am lil over 6wks. I have a lot of questions for my doc. Also I have questions for you all... Like eating after RNY and getting enough. Snacks and such?
I am allergic to peanuts and peanut oil so I am finding it difficult to find high protein foods without them adding those products.

Weight what happens. After my surgery I have remained underweight no matter what I tried. What should I do.

Also please keep us in prayer because I am very very high risk. I have had cervical cancer twice which made my cervix shortened as they call it. (very thin)
Also I had preterm labor and preclampsia with my other two preg before wls.

I'm so glad we have this forum.

Hey Girl!
First off- Congrats!!! Fancy meeting you on this side! I've been meaning to send you a msg on FB to tell you congrats.

Second- I had to eat all the time to get in enough calories when I had Blake. I also started eating high calorie things because 800 calories just wasn't cutting it. At first they were trying to put him as Interuterine Growth Restricted, which would have made him a small baby. After I wrapped my mind around eating more then he grew like a weed. He ended up weighing a whopping 9lbs 9oz, so I guess I wrapped my mind a little too much! lol Now that he's here it is very difficult to go back to eating via WLS rules. I'm not sure what your OB is suggesting, you may want to ask. I was told a 1200 calorie diet minimum. I also had to take my prenatal vitamins with iron. I was very iron deficient.

Have you visited with a perinatologist yet? You might want to get an appt scheduled. That way they can be familiar with you in case you do run into any problems in the future, and they will do more indepth sonograms to monitor the baby's growth in the   meantime.

Good luck! Let me know if there is anything I can do.

 Thank you Tracey...

I have had my ob appt then I go on monday to meet with the high risk specialist...

they haven't given me a calorie amount yet but basically they have said because I tolerate so little with my pouch that I should eat when possible and make sure I continue my liquids. It's a constant battle before being preg to get enough so Im really making sure I stay up later to I can get all the foods needed.

one good thing is in 6wks I have gained 2lbs which is a miracle for me.

I will keep you updated. We are very excited and I worry at the same time. But all in all I know God is in control.

 Kasondra,
Please email me your fb info because no one can find me on there for some reason.

Do you know why you have a short cervix? Did they do a circlauge? when did you go on modified bedrest?

I go and see the specialist on monday. I have a feeling I am going to be restricted then. She freaked when I told her I was working.
